Code of Conduct

Principles

  • Follow Rules : Unitedians must follow school rules at all times to maintain order and avoid chaos.
  • Show Respect : Unitedians must demonstrate self-respect and show respect toward their families, school, and community.
  • Take Responsibility : Unitedians should take responsibility for their actions and understand that irresponsible behaviour may have consequences for themselves and others.
  • Build Relationships : Unitedians must build positive relationships with family members, teachers, friends, and peers to foster mutual support and understanding.
  • Practice Reflection : When mistakes are committed, students must reflect, learn from them, and avoid repeating the same behaviour.

General Disciplines

  • 1. Bring the Almanac Daily : All students must bring their Almanac to school every day.
  • 2. Complete and Sign the Almanac : Almanac must include the child’s photograph, ID details, and parent’s signature.
  • 3. Avoid Damaging School Property : Damaging school property is strictly prohibited. Students responsible will be required to compensate.
  • 4. Simplicity in Belongings : Expensive or branded stationery, watches, or valuables are not allowed.
  • 5. Label Belongings : Each item must be labeled. The school is not responsible for lost belongings.
  • 6. Meeting Teachers or Wards : Parents may meet teachers or students only with prior permission from the office administration.
  • 7. Attend Orientation : It is favored both parents should attend Portfolio meetings or provide a valid reason for absence.
  • 8. Speak in English : English speaking is compulsory in the school premises with peers & teachers.
  • 9. Mobile Phones Not Allowed : Mobile phones are not allowed in the school. If found, they will be confiscated by the school authorities for a period of one year.
  • 10. Maintain Good Manners : Students must follow school rules, keep themselves neat, dress properly, and be punctual.
  • 11. Maintain Decorum : Running, shouting, or playing inside the school premises is not permitted.
  • 12. Dress Code on Birthdays : Requests to change section or house will not be entertained once allotted.
  • 13. No Section or House Changes : Report cards may be withheld for non-payment of fees.
  • 14. Fee Payment : Report cards are liable to be withheld for non-payment of fees.
  • 15. Fixed Activities : Report cards may be withheld for non-payment of fees.
  • 16. Decent Behavior : As a co-educational school, appropriate behaviour between boys and girls is expected.
  • 17. Show Respect : Students must greet teachers, staff, and peers respectfully at all times.

Birthday Celebration

  • Students may wear casual dress on their birthdays.
  • Students may NOT distribute gift items. They can distribute chocolate or sweet.

School Infirmary

  • Sick or injured students will be taken to the infirmary
  • Parents will be informed if necessary.
  • Basic first aid will be provided, and emergencies will be handled promptly.

Library & Browsing Room

  • Maintain strict silence in the library.
  • Students may issue two books for 15 days.
  • Damaged or late-returned books will incur fines or replacement charges.

Change of Address

To ensure accurate emergency records, parents must update the administration immediately regarding any change of address or phone number (home or work).

Attendance Policy

  • 1. Attendance during term time is compulsory.
  • 2. Students must be punctual for classes and school activities.
  • 3. No half-day leave once a student enters school; emergencies require parents to pick up the child in person.
  • 4. Full-day attendance is compulsory on assessment days; medical reasons require a valid certificate.
  • 5. Absences without valid reasons will not be accepted.
  • 6. The school must be informed officially about any absence.
  • 7. Students must be present on the reopening day after vacations.
  • 8. Absence for more than 3 days after reopening will result in disciplinary action.
  • 9. Medical certificate required for sick leave.
  • 10. Absence beyond 10 days without intimation may lead to removal from the attendance roll.
  • 11. Re-admission after removal requires full procedures.
  • 12. Students with contagious diseases must stay home and return only with a medical certificate.

Transportation

  • 1. Transport facility is subject to seat availability.
  • 2. Routes are fixed; parents may contact the transport-in-charge for details.
  • 3. Students must arrive at the stop 5-10 minutes before the vehicle arrives.
  • 4. Changes in phone numbers must be informed to school and transport-in-charge in writing.
  • 5. Transport fare may vary based on fuel costs and routes.
  • 6. Students must respect the driver, conductor & peers.

Identity Card

  • 1. Students must wear their ID cards during school hours.
  • 2. Lost ID cards can be reissued upon payment.
